PREGNANCY YOGA
Prenatal yoga is, simply put, a yoga practice specifically designed for pregnant people. Unlike a yoga class that merely modifies a “regular” practice to be safe for pregnant women, prenatal yoga actually addresses concerns that pregnant women would have. This Yoga is intended to create a balance between emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual dimensions. Prenatal yoga is about helping you prepare for childbirth by relaxing the body and focusing on safe techniques and poses in all stages of pregnancy.
SATYANANDA YOGA
Satyananda Yoga is a system of yoga developed by Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati and his lineage, which incorporates practices derived from ancient and traditional sources. Satyananda Yoga uses practices in a traditional way, asanas (postures) to balance the body and mind through the physical body, pranayama (breathing practices) to work on the energy body (equated with Ki or Chi in other systems), and meditation to calm and focus the mind. It also takes a broader outlook by teaching and encouraging yogic lifestyles, not only for renunciates but also for householders and lay practitioners
YOGA NIDRA
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating practice that combines elements of meditation, mindfulness, and conscious relaxation. Originating from ancient Indian traditions, it offers a systematic method for achieving physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
During a Yoga Nidra session, practitioners lie down in a comfortable position and follow the guidance of a trained instructor (me). The practice involves a series of guided visualisations, body scans, and breathing exercises, allowing individuals to enter a state of deep relaxation while maintaining full awareness.
The aim of Yoga Nidra is to access the "hypnagogic state," the threshold between wakefulness and sleep, where the mind is highly receptive to positive suggestions and self-exploration. This state encourages deep healing, stress reduction, and inner transformation.
Regular practice of Yoga Nidra can offer a multitude of benefits, including stress relief, improved sleep, enhanced creativity, increased self-awareness, and a greater sense of overall well-being. It can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages and fitness levels, making it accessible to everyone seeking relaxation and inner peace.
